I'm not even building anything very large or making large changes. Even placing 1 new tile causes it to crap out. When I originally built my first Tilemap it was working perfectly. It slowed down a bit when I added a Tilemap Collider 2D and Composite Collider, but it was still functioning fine. Well, I can't extend the collider box too much vertically, even if I extend it maximum, it works better, but not 100 % I think this could be done better in Unity. I mean, I have seen games from the 80s and 90s with perfect jump through. Unity should have better platform effector which should work better with the tilemap collider.

Unity is the ultimate game development platform. I'm using the built in unity2d tilemap where I've added a Tilemap Collider 2D to the map (using Is Trigger). Whenever a collision is detected (using OnTriggerEnter2D) the Gameobject returned is the map itself, not the tile. Is there a way to detect the specific tile in which the collision occurred instead of the entire map?

I'm making a 2D sidescroller and my levels are built with tiles using the tilemap grid. I used the tilemap collider 2d which created a bunch of little box colliders around my level. Now when my character( which has a box collider itself) runs around the level, his movements will stutter when his collider touches the edge of another level tile. I'm trying to use the Tilemap Collider 2D component. The colliders work as intended in the editor, but when I export a build it simply doesn't work. I'm using a non-trigger collider to test it. In the editor my player can't walk through the tile, but in the actual build the player walks through the tile like the collider didn't exist.

Unfortunately, this fix appears to be creating a major issue with the composite colliders. In 2019.2.11, when using a Composite Collider 2D with a Tilemap Collider 2D, I'm unable to set an offset distance of zero. In the photo, you can see the bounds of the collider generated for my tilemap. I attempted to solve this by drawing only the outlines, but it generates the same collider. This also happens with other types of slopes (this one is 4x1, I have a 2x1 and 1x1). I've used Brackey's recent 2D tutorials and Unity's Cinemachine 2D tutorials as references.
